Getting in Shape

Going to B.B. King's Tonight - What to Eat?

So tomorrow marks the end of my second week on Weight Watchers!  I'm doing well - being pretty strict with myself does the trick for me.  I  might dip into my Flex Points while trying to stay within my daily allotment, but never "allow" myself to cheat - I know myself too well.

We've gone out to eat a few times in the past couple weeks, but always at places that show nutritional information.  Tonight, though, we're going to B.B. King's Blues Club, which doesn't post nutritional information.

What to eat, then?  It's silly, but I'm slightly nervous - I really don't want to gain back any weight I may have lost.  I know the healthiest option is some sort of grilled/baked seafood, but I really don't like seafood. (I just never acquired a taste for it, unfortunately.).

I'm thinking that the next best thing might be beef brisket (bbq sauce on the side) or some variety of roasted chicken.

....Or should I scarf a Lean Cuisine before we leave, then just have a dinner salad at the restaurant?

Roasted chicken or brisket sound good.  You're right - watch the sauces.  Full of sugar and hidden calories.  I also like the idea of eating first and then just having salad.  No surprises.

We're going to a minor league baseball game tonight.  I'm going to have to save up some points for beer.

  • You kinda forget how many calories we drink if we're not careful, right?

Yes, it was a real eye-opener to see how much beer and wine add to calorie/point counts.
