Need Dallas Knotties photo help.

Hey Knotties,
I need your expertise. I’m looking for the best place to take photos in the Dallas/FW area. This can be wedding or engagement photos. Also, tell me why. Does the place have great lighting? Filled with nature? Modern buildings? What makes it unique to where you live and why would someone want to take wedding-related photos there? I’ll be using your Knot name, btw.

    I think one of the most beautiful places in Dallas to have portraits made is the Dallas Arboretum.  Especially during the, "Dallas Blooms!" event in late March, early April.  There are so many different kinds of brightly colored flowers, as well as ponds, and some beautiful architecture.  I have also seen pictures made there in the Fall, with pumpkins, etc.  It is truly a beautiful place!

    Fort Worth Botanical Gardens is where we went!  They have a gorgeous Japanese Garden that is spectacular especially in the fall and spring.

    I love the Old Cotton Mill in Mckinney for a rustic look.  The lighting is amazing and warm.   The colors are neutral and don't take away from the couple or bride.  Some really interesting props there from an old couch, cement floors, lots of wood, and even an old frame which I have seen some great engagements photos taken with.

    I love the Old Red Courthouse in downtown Dallas.  I've worked in the legal field my whole life and used to love going by it when I would run errands downtown.  Had I known you could get married there, I probably would have looked into it!  It has a beautiful staircase you can get great downtown shots of the wedding party.  I always love wedding party shots out on the streets of downtown Dallas.



    For bridals, I love the Stoneleigh Hotel--a venue I looked into but alas, it was booked on my date.  The portrait possibilities at this hotel are endless, including the signature "red couch."









    For engagements, I love the Turtle Creek/Lee Park area of Dallas (where I took mine).  It is beautiful in both the spring and the fall and is the home of Dallas' famous Mansion Hotel on Turtle Creek
