Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

we don't need an ordained officiant

we're a military couple and were legally married before his deployment, so we don't need to find an officiant who can legally marry us.  any suggestions for officiants who are not necessarily family members but could do a good job with a non-religious ceremony?

  • I would look into Unitarian Universalist places. They are pretty open to whatever the couples ask for, especially when it comes to not including religion in the ceremony.

  • If you are in Colorado, you don't need an officiant at all! Look up "self marriage".
