Tall Centerpieces vs Short Centerpieces DIY

Ok ladies...at first I was gonna go with short DIY centerpieces becuase me and my FI are on a tight budget and our wedding is in Michigan but we live in New York so getting with the florist would be hard to ensure they do everything I want...but now I am rethinking that I want to have tall centerpieces.  So any ideas on how to DIY tall centerpieces? I am thinking to still keep everything simple...we would have like 10 tables so do 5 tall and 5 short.

Thanks :)

Depends....what kind of centerpieces do you want?  My tall centerpieces are curly willow branches with flowers in glass vases with river rocks.

I was just at a wedding with tall and one of the guests picked up the centerpiece and put it on the floor so he could talk to everyone at the table.  We all thought it was funny!  I was at another one with tall centerpieces. but it was designed with a thin vase and the flowers over everyone's head so they didn't get in the way.  Just something to think about....

Agreed, you can make cheaper high vases, just price shop! I like the idea of the willow branches!

First of all, a centrepiece should either be low enough to see over or tall enough to see under.  If it's tall, it can be two tiered, large on the bottom and small cluster with branches, depending on the look you want.  Just make sure it isn't top heavy.  Bunches Bob
