Alternative flower options for MOB & MOG

They don't want pin-on corsages.  Wrist corsages are really not comfortable and they'll both be irritated by that.  I need suggestions on something simple for them that they can carry and put down when they don't want to hold it any more, but that doesn't make it look like they're trying to be BMs.

When I've seen MOBs carry bouquets, it's usually a 2 or 3 flower very small bouquet.  That way it's not like the BMs at all and they can easily set it down later and leave it. 

You could also do a corsage on their purse or clutch if they are carrying one.

Dani, my mom would never carry a purse again if she could find someplace else for her wallet and cell phone.  She's not a girly-girl.  I don't think FMIL will have one for the wedding, either. 

Do you have any photos of the bouquets you're talking about that I could show the florist?  I'm at a loss here.

The bouquets that she is reffering to will have the same flowers that you and your girls have but will only be 2-5 flowers...

Or maybe skip flowers but get each of them a really pretty brooch for their lapels (if they're wearing jackets).

I bet your florist will know what you're talking about.  I used a grocery store florist and even they knew about MOB bouquets and asked if I wanted those.  I said no b/c our moms wanted corsages. 

I would post on one of the more well traveled boards, like Etiquette, and ask if anyone had them.  When I tried to do a Google search, not much came up.

We did little nosegay bouquets for the MOB/MOG.
