Invitation Question

Our invites are an odd size (long story, don't ask). The envelopes that fit exactly are sold only by cases of 100. We have about 10 invitations to send out to my co-workers and 2 of FI friend's. I went and purchased brown kraft envelopes that are a tad bit larger. I am now having second thoughts on send invitations in brown kraft envelopes. On the flip side, if I order another case of the original envelopes, they are $83. FI says stick with the kraft envelopes and be done with it or hand deliver them to my co-workers. We are truly on a tight budget at this point but I am torn. What would you do?

I think that even if you hand deliver them, they still need an envelope, so I would just send them in the slightly larger brown envelope. No one's going to care or judge you -- it's just an envelope.

Just ask yourself if you've ever looked at or cared about any envelope you've ever received in the mail. I personally don't, I just throw them away!

If you are only lacking 11, I would hand deliver them. But then again, I'm kinda cheap and wouldn't want to pay $83 for 11 envelopes.

Go with the kraft ones... The envelope is not the important part, and they won't see that theirs are different than everyone elses... as long as they are semi-close to the correct size/shape, I wouldn't worry too much about it.  Definitely not enough to spend $83 to get 10 envelopes!!!

I would go with the larger brown envelopes.  As long as they are not going to someone who would see the original envelope then I do not see anything wrong with it.
