Flowers

What do you think about using flowers made out of paper or fabric?

I really do not want to work with real flowers being we would make the bouquets, centerpieces, etc by hand and have to do it a few days before the wedding. I would love to get what I can taken care of over the summer, and I found some cute fabric flowers on Etsy I could use to make, what do y'all think? http://www.etsy.com/listing/35476745/100-single-origami-roses-pick-your?ref=v1_other_2

And yes I noticed my crazy run on sentances...I'm hyper up on caffiene and its comming out in my typing :P

Personally, I love the look of fabric flowers or button bouquets (although I'm not crazy about silk flowers).  If that's what you want, then go for it!

These are kinda cool.  I would rather an obvious not real rose than a silk flower pretending to be real.

I definitaly think they are cute. The ones you found from the etst seller are awesome.

I say go for it. And I agree with the pp, rather it be obviously fake then try looking real but is fake. I do not like silk flowers (they never look real imo).

Houston Knottie Adorable Bridezilla did tissue paper centerpieces and they looked great.

Also a girl on Etiquette posted the other day about doing roses made out of coffee filters.  They looked amazing.  She used a Martha Stewart tutorial.

So there are definitely great looking options out there if you have the skill and time.

I think it's a great idea and an even better keepsake. Usually your wedding flowers last a day or two and then die (Unless you do a preservation kit) Here is a great article by Signature Grand:

<div>I followed the same MS tutorial for the coffee filter roses. They do take some time, but they look pretty realistic. </div>
