Mother's Flowers... Pins through fabric of dress!!! I need advice...

Hey Everyone,

I am trying to choose corsages for our mothers, but having some trouble.

They may be apprehensive about pinning a corsage on their dresses, not wanting to damage the fabric, but I can't really see my mum wearing a wrist corsage.

Are there other options for the mother's??

Any advice is welcome!

Ask your florist to do a magnet instead of pins :D

I'm with crazyDC. This is what I am doing. Our moms didn't want pin-ons or anything huge getting in the way of their pretty new dresses. They also didn't want a big wrist flower. We are doing 3 calla lilies with some greenery for them. It gives them something to hold while walking down the aisle which they LOVE.

Sara - You may also want to consider changing your screen name. Using your email I can find out where you live, get a picture of you, find out your age, and see what kind of activity/social network stuff you do on the web. We have programs at work that cost almost nothing and can get this info in seconds. Not that I would ever use this info for "evil", but some crazies would. Just a thought.

usually pinning a corsage is not a problem unless it is a very heavy corsage.Magnetic ones work well most of the time. You must be careful tho if you use magnets....can't be used when someone wears a pacemaker. Also can screw up cellphones

You should probaly ask the mothers if they want a small bouquet, or a corsage, and what kind.  They might not want one, or might prefer flowers for their hair, or pin a corsage on their purse.

Unless it's a very delicate fabric like thick satin, thin silk, heavily beaded, etc.... it shouldn't be a problem to pin a small, lightweight cosage on.  You might consider a small orchid corsage, they are very lightweight, and very elegant and "mom-like".

My mom is having hers put on her handbag and just holding it they make the wristlet wide enough to go around her small evening clutch.

Go with the mini bouquet. A wrist corsage just screams prom to me.

I am doing a small clutch bouquet....

another option is a small corsage with a clip on the back so it can be attached to their clutch.
