Green, Ivory and Purple Flowers?

Hi! This is my first time posting anything but I need advice. I am just starting my planning for my wedding but I know I want my bridesmaids to wear black dresses (chiffon). I really love the idea of having green (the lime-ish green hydrengeas), ivory and dark purple flowers. I am having a spring wedding but I'm not a huge fan of pink or orange. What does everyone think of these colors? I don't want any lavender purple... I really like a dark purple but green and ivory will be most of the bouquet, just accidented with purple. Any suggestions on type of flowers? Help please :) I want to make sure I'm not totally crazy! Thanks!!

My BM bouquets had ivory roses and a few cala lillies.  My bouquet had a mix of light purple roses, dark purple cala lillies, some other purple flowers (don't know their names) and berries/greenery.

I think your idea of ivory, green, and purple sound great.  No need to overthink it.

Wow I was thinking the same colors for my wedding, we were planning a March wedding but we want an outdoor wedding so we are looking more towards May more than likely next year (2012) as we are thinking 2013 is to long of a wait but anyways I am in the same boat as you I really dont want to use the traditional "Spring" or "Summer" colors. I am thinking the same colors though with a dark emerald green, Royal Purple and Ivory. I love the ideas for flowers already mentioned the Purple Calla lillies are gorgeous.....Good Luck with the planning....
