Flowers

I'm totally clueless!

Looking for advice and suggestions on flowers. My wedding date is October 29th of this year. Our colors are brown and blue with hints of green and peachy orange.
I have no idea what I should do for the ceremony or the reception. We;re having a church service, any suggestions for alter flowers or pew decorations?

Also for the reception centerpieces I'd like to alternative some tables with candles and the others with flowers.

We are trying to adhere to a strict budget so I don't know if an alternate to flowers would be better for the majority of decor/

Also does anyone know what some hearty flowers would be for the fall? I'm going to attempt to DIY the bouquets and other flowers, how do I keep them fresh and cool enough?

Are you using a florist?  If so, ask them about the flowers.  Tell them your budget and say that there is no way of going over it.  They should be able to work something in your budget.

    Welcome Kell.

There are multiple websites that sell flowers wholesale to the public: costco.com, samsclub.com, growersbox.com, fiftyflowers.com. Peruse the sites and see what you can find in your color scheme.

I know Costco has wedding packages you can buy with bouquets, bouts, corsages and centerpieces. They have videos on how to care for them once they arrive on their website. (I think it's under the rose wedding package). Their shipping is free also. I ordered 100 roses for my Mom's birthday in January, and from Ecuador to her house was 3 days. You just need to follow the directions once they arrive.

You can alternate candles & flowers, or do whatever you want. If you can't find flowers in the colors you want, use candles in those colors, and flowers in the others.

For the church, it would depend on how big it is and how it is lit. Personally, I go more for the pew decorations, spending less on the altar (because usually it's lovely the way it is, plus you may not be there long enough for the flowers to actually be noticed or worth the money). I'm doing pew cones made out of white lace doilies or paper, with a battery operated votive in the bottom, and some baby's breath on top, hung with a ribbon. But that's my personal taste.

Good luck. I like your color scheme, very fresh.

Cream & blue hydrangeas with peach spray roses or regular roses for your bouquet.  Even tables have a bouquet surrounded by votives & odd tables have a pillar candle or 3 with a collar of flowers around the base.  Kissing ball on every other pew?
