**jaberjamie**

Hey girls,
I have been lurking around this message board for a couple years now! My fiance and I have been together for over 7 years and I have been planning our wedding for the last two years.  However, we just recently made it official.  It was the perfect proposal on the rooftop of a building in downtown dallas! Magical.  My fiance is a chiropractor, and I am a fourth year graduate student getting my Phd in Clinical Psychology.  We are so blessed and are planning an intimate wedding on Nov. 20, 2011.  I just wanted to introduce myself since I have posted a few times but figured no one knew who I am was =)

That's a pretty ring and a lovely proposal story. Have you already picked where you'll get married? Just curious. I love seeing everyone's venues.

Yes we booked the Adolphus hotel, French room for the reception.
Since we changed our date to a sunday, I have no idea where we will have the actual ceremony yet.  They have a room we could use at the hotel, I just really wanted to get married in a church. Which is hard on a Sunday =(
I have called a ton of places with no luck.. so thats still up in the air.
We have booked our reception venue and photographer (edmonson photography, they are sooo amazing.. those were the two things I cared about the most).  Any idea on a ceremony venue with a church feel I am open to hear!
Looked at Perkins chapel, wont do anything on sundays
    Same with Prestonwood Baptist Church
Looking at Piazza in the Villiage, their chapel is pretty and they allow Sunday weddings.
    ANY IDEAS?? help!

thank you, we designed it like two years ago.  He's been saving for a long time, he jokes that it took him seven years to be able to buy it!!  Its amazing!  Thanks for the nice words you girls are sweet.

You could try the rentmychurch.com, but I'm guessing most churches won't allow a wedding on a Sunday.

On the knottie vendor list (see the "Attn! Are you Looking for a Particular Vendor" post near the top of the board) there is one chapel mentioned ... Ross Avenue Wedding Chapel. The reviews on the web don't look good, although apparently there's now new management ... too bad, because I think it's really close to your reception venue.

Piazza in the Village is gorgeous and I've heard nothing but good things about it (except that it's a little pricy).

</div><div>Hello and Welcome!  I looked at the Ross Avenue Wedding Chapel when we were looking for a venue.  Idk if it was with the new manager, but it was awful!  I do not advise booking there.

Could you get married on the rooftop where he proposed?  That could be cool.  :)

stephanie thats a great idea, the issue is that they would hardly even let him take me up there ( something about people base jumping and insurance rates) so I am not sure that would work...maybe another building I will check
I have look at Piazza and ross chapel ( ross I have a weird feeling about) and yes Piazza is pricey ( 2k just to rent chapel on a sunday)
Sorry I just now wrote back I was out of the country for the week.

Well, Piazza is beautiful if you decide to go that route!
