NWR: I REALLY am not happy with TXU right now...

and now the very unhelpful jerk has me on hold for the supervisor...and I'm feeling like he isn't even transferring me.  He's waiting for me to hang up.  I don't understand it...I'm in a fixed rate plan...our routine has been the same for 6 months...the house is actually EMPTY more than it was the first 6 months I started service with them at this house...and yet my bills have ranged from over 300 to mid 150 to 76.90 last month...and now back up to 160...ridiculous.
We have the house as well sealed and more energy efficient than most...no reason for the fluctuation in bill!  Sorry...had to get that out so I don't get loud with the  next person that may pick up the line (I'm still at work)...if they are as careless and ignorant as the  first one.
aaargh...
oh, wait!  Someone actually picked up!!!!  Might get some answers!

I am right there with you and was SOO angry with them on my lunch break. We recently switched banks and had all of the bills that are automatically paid switched over including TXU... so we thought. I spoke with someone who was supposed to switch us over to the new account. A few weeks later the money is taken out of the old account. Luckily we left some money in there for this very reason. I called again and they said I had to send a voided check and they coudln't do anything over the phone! Grrrr! Did that and yesterday they billed our old account again this time resulting in a overdraft charge. I called today and spoke with two people who were very hard to understand and didn't speak good english and it still isn't resolved. What horrible customer service! I am fed up with them but I have had some friends that went with other electric companies and had horrible expiriences.

The only company that made me more angry than TXU today was Wells Fargo... good riddance to that horrible excuse for a bank!

TXU was awful to us when we moved... our closing date kept getting moved around, and I (stupidly) scheduled our old house to be disconnected before we were actually in the new house... well when I called on Tuesday evening to cancel the disconnect that was scheduled for Thursday, they said everything was fine - but then disconnected it anyway!  Then, they were going to make us pay A LOT to have it reconnected the next day, or a lesser fee to wait until Monday.  Mind you, this was mid-summer.  Needless to say, I'm no longer a TXU customer, and I've been happy ever since!

I'm trying desperately to not be "that typical bitchy customer"...I want better rates, and they said I have another year and 1 month in the plan I'm in now...fine.  I still want better rates, and NO I AM NOT GOING TO PAY Early Termination Charges for changing rate plans and remaining with TXU.  If I end up having to change companies, the way I feel right now...I won't pay the charges then, either, dang it.  I don't think I should be charged anything at all for wanting better rates than what I'm paying..especially when these better rates are advertised online, etc...and I'm an existing customer getting raped on the kwh.
*sigh* I'm going to call the number they gave me to discuss with the sales department...the lady I was finally connected to said that it's rare the ETC are waived, even if you're staying with TXU, but that it's possible.  I am a good customer.  Shoot, they've made a ton off me!!!
