Tissue paper flower bouquet?

Is it cheesy to have tissue paper flowers for decorations and bouquets??  I'm not talking about buying fake flowers, but making flowers out of tissue or crepe paper...  We're really trying to save money on the wedding, and I thought the idea could be really cute, but I don't want people to think it is cheesy or too "low-brow"!!  Opinions??

I think that is the one real thing out of any you would want to have at your wedding. There are many affordable ways to diy. You could go to your nearest grocery store and pick a $10 bunch of wildflowers, cut the stems and tie a pretty ribbon to it. Keep it very bohemian and natural :) Or just pick your own :)

I think it's all about the execution on this one.

It could either look *really* cool... or, it could be a total disaster.

Could you try making some tissue paper flowers, and post a picture?

I'm with crazyDCbride on this one.  Just depends on how they look and how they fit your venue and everything else you have at your wedding.

I'm making origami rose bouquets and centerpieces and they look amazing.  Been getting a lot of great feeback on them, even from a florist :)  I have to take pictures and post, but I'd love to share them w/ you if you shoot me an email at limpin.oliver@yahoo.com.  Good luck!
