Father/Daughter & Mother/Son... same time?

We are throwing around the idea of having the 4 of us dance at the same time.  Lets be honest, we want to get the party started and get dinner served.  Any song suggestions for that?I have my heart set on I loved Her First for my dad and I but am willing to skip it if we can find something for all of us.TIA

When we were throwing this idea around we were thinking of doing "In My Life" by the Beatles...changed our minds b/c our first dance is also a Beatles song and we thought it would be overkill.

I say if you really have your heart set on a certain song for you and your dad that you stick with it and do the dances separately. Most songs are only about 4 minutes long so its really not gonna hold anything up IMO.

Sunrise, Sunset from Fiddler on the Roof is a good song to do if you want to combine it...but it is your day, why cheat yourself. Do it separate.

Do it separately and have the DJ fade out, or shorten the songs!  FYI- I really like "forever young" by Bob Dylan

We're doing the father/daughter and mother/son dances at the same time. Neither one of us wants to use a sappy song so we're leaning towards using Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over the Rainbow/Wonderful World. I believe it was in the movie 50 First Dates but it's a beautiful song! Hope this helps! :)

If your heart is set on I Loved Her First (I love that song!) then go with that. But if you really want to put the two together I think Then They Do by Trace Adkins would be a really great song!

How About My Wish by Rascal Flatts?
We have been toying with the idea of combining the two as well and that's the song we decided on!
