Hi everyone. My favorite movie as a little girl was wizard of oz....I used to watch it nonstop, and went to a live play and was in the play in high school.  I also used to sing over the rainbow at parties and stuff for my family.I was thinking of using it for the father/daughter dance...but wondering if anyone can recommend some good versions or mixes?  I really don't listen to music enough to know.  Also, its weird b/c my dad really loves judy garland but i just don't know...any help/suggestions?

  I'm dancing with my Dad to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" too! By Israel  Kamakawiwo.  It's my favorite version!!!  My Dad sang it to me everynight after I said my prayers when I was little until I was like 14.

Holy cow, i thought I was reading a post that I didn't remember writing.
We are dancing to the Judy Garland version, as it's the one from the movie and the one I would sing when I would make him be all the other characters in the movie.

I also love the IZ version of this song!  It's just such a beautiful song!!!  I am using it for the song as my Bridesmaids come down the aisle and they are very excited about it!  I think it would be a beautiful first dance song!

Hey I am using this song to walk down the ilse to the Isreal version its simply gorgeous, Im the same. loved te movie as a child and then played Dorothy at school, we still have the vidoe of the school play i get embarrassed watching!
