Our favorite songs aren't exactly lovey-dovey

My fiance and I have a few favorite songs in common, but they're not exactly feel-good love songs.  I'd still like to hear them on my wedding day, but I'm wondering if they'd be weird.  Tell me what you think:

Somebody to Love by Queen
Let it Be by The Beatles
Everlong by Foo Fighters
Love, Reign O'er Me by The Who

So... just bouncing these things off you girls.
This knottie's been ransacked, suckas!

If you're talking about just having them play at some point during the dance, you don't have a thing to worry about. Not every song has to have deep meaning to it. And I actually read in another thread somewhere awhile back that someone was using "Everlong" as the processional for the bridesmaids.

P.S., have you heard Pearl Jam's cover of "Reign O'er Me"? I think it's one of the few covers I like as much, if not more, than the original...

Check out Vitamin String Quartet.  My favorite song ("Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner" by Fall Out Boy) can actually be kind of depressing, but I love it.  I'm thinking about using VSQ's version when I walk down the aisle.  It's so beautiful and sounds wedding-y, and my family won't be freaked out by the strange and sad lyrics.

you can always play these songs as dinner music. thats what we plan on doing w/ songs we love but you can't really dance to or usually hear at a wedding. for example, our dinner music will be:

-Whiter Shade of Pale-let’s stay together – al green-You are the Sunshine of my Life – Stevie Wonder-You are the Sun – Lionel Richie-Fallin for you – colbie calliet -More than a Feeling – Boston-Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now - Starship-glory of love – Chicago-I want to know what love is – foreigner

-journey - either separate ways or faithfully

Oooh I love Everlong by Foo Fighters. I thought about using this song but threw the idea out the window when I remembered one of my bridesmaids and her current boyfriend have this as "their" song. They aren't engaged but it's "their" song and I don't want to take that away from them. Another one is "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls but again, same problem different people -sigh-

One a sidenote - I have an amazing acoustic version of Everlong.
