Split dance

Neither my father nor my FI like to dance (let's restate---they hate it).  What does everyone think to me starting a dance with my dad, then halfway through the song, having him hand me off to my sweetie?  I was thinking of "What a Wonderful World" as the song.  That way, they only have to suffer a little while.

I was thinking about doing something similar...maybe having me and FI dance and have my father cut in, then FI ask his mother onto the dance floor.
I think your idea would be fine. :)

I've considered it but my father wants the "right" of a father-daughter dance. If you do it, go for it.

Or cut music so both dances are short.

I like OP's idea and the father cutting in idea!  both are cute and just fine.  Personally, as a guest i get a little bored watching two people dance for an entire song (unless they are good dancers).

I say "Go For It!!!"  Its your wedding and whatever works best and fits you guys best is what should be done...Its also very sweet of you that you considered everyone's feelings about dancing...not everyone likes or wants the same things...
