Hi guys,

Can you guys recommend some budget places for invitations? It can be either online or on-site, I'm open to either.

Thanks so much!

How budget are we talking? You can get print-yourself invitations at Michaels for around $30-40 a box, and each box has about 30 invitations.

You can try Etsy.com there's tons of options there. I found one that I liked on Etsy but it was a little more than I wanted to spend so I'm making my own using the one I found as inspiration. Mine will be less than $1.50 each before postage.

I purchased mine at TjMaxx. They were the BRIDES collection ones that you can find at micheals for $10 for forty invitations. They have the response cards with them too! Mine come out to 1.09 per invite included two set of postage. (sending and returning).

I didn't want to spend alot in invites because who really keeps them after the wedding.

I am highly considering 123print.com.  They seem pretty reasonable and I liked the samples so far.  If I end up with those, I will do a little DIY to them to make it more special.  Good luck.

I dont know how budget or DIY you are wanting.  I wanted something reasonable without DIY and I found alaunbydesign.com  You can find invitations by themselves for as low as $1.05 a piece and entire collections which is included invitation, envelope, reception card, response card and matching thank you notes with envelopes for as low as 2.10 each.  We are getting a collection plus programs and menus for less than 500.00.

Do you have a costco card?  They have some very nice invitations that you can customize the wording, font, color for as low as 48 cents an invite.  Plus they have a lot of styles to choose from.

I got mine from 123print.com and I love them.  I got:

    -75 Invites w/ pre-addressed envelopes
    -75 RSVP w/ pre-addressed envelopes
-20 Rehearsal Dinner Invites w/ envelopes

all for $112.00 (with shipping), plus if you go through ebates.com you get 10% back!  I think for the invitations and pre-addressed envelopes it would have been about $40 or so.  They are very reasonable and do a fantastic job!

We did the brides collection from Michael's and I had them printed at FedEx Kinkos. I had people thinking we spent a fortune on them, and with coupons they were maybe a dollar an invite.

We printed ours via vistaprint and I was extremely happy. Combining the low prices with some email deals we had, we were able to get all invitations, response cards, programs, table number cards, envelopes, address labels and favor box labels for $115.

I received them a couple of weeks ago and the quality is great. While they are not a huge fancy invite with cards and pockets or vellum overlays or anything, they are beautiful and the money I saved made both FI and I very pleased.

mandasue178 (and anyone else who did this) - how does it work to get them printed at the copy shop? Do you print up a sample one at home with the wording/font you want and tell them to copy that onto the rest of the invites? Or do you just bring them the boxes of invites and tell them what you want it to say?

Check out The American Wedding. They have lots of great invitations to choose from and you can order samples so you can see what they will look like before you order.  Here is the website  www.theamericanwedding.com

I got mine from Annsbridalbargains online. I got them last week, and I LOVE them. I only paid $65.00 for 100 invitations and envelopes, including shipping!! GREAT DEAL, and I was honestly impressed with the way they turned out.

I'm not sure of where you could get inexpensive invitations but we saved a lot of money but doing some stuff ourselves: inserting the envelope lines, printing the RSVP cards and directions cards ourselves and then cutting and assembling them.
