Airbursh Tan

Do any of you ladies have any recommendations on where is the best place to get one and what kind of airbrush is best (Mystic, versa or by hand)?

I am a recovering tan-a-holic (dead serious), when I met my fiance he was who helped me stop because it is sooo bad for you....but I want to be tan for the wedding.

So I figured I am six months away, I could start experementing to see which one looks best :)

Any thoughts and tips are appreciated!! :p

I have never done Mystic but I did Versa Spa for my wedding (and E-pics and bridal shower--PIB).  I never in my wildest dreams thought I would get a spray tan instead of airbrush for my wedding but I waited too long to start experimenting.  However, I have to say, it worked fine.  Just definitely go a few times to "practice" and always use the tan accelerator--this keeps you from being splotchy.  I always get medium with no bronzer. The thing I like about  Versa Spa is that it dries you.

Alot of girls like Tantrum for airbrush.  I've had airbrush done a few times in Uptown, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend any of them.

I don't recommend Mystic at all... Versa Spa is way better but definitely trial run it.  If you get sweaty though, it does end up coming off on your clothes (or wedding dress!!).  There is a place in Colleyville (if you're closer to Ft Worth) that does airbrush training  www.salassunless.com

I've been getting Airbrush tans from TAN-TRUM. I've had 4 sessions already and each time I've loved it. Jennifer is who I use. She will either come to your home and do it or you can go to the salon in Denton.

I actually went to Salas today and used my grooupon as a test run for the wedding. So far my tan is awesome. I will add more details tomorrow after I take a shower.

No, the airbrush is where you stand in your underwear, swimsuit or even naked and let someone actually spray you with the solution.  It just gives your tan a more custom look (b/c the mystic can leave your orange or splotchy more often than not).  Since I'm so fair skinned, the airbrush is a better option for me - I just look more natural with it.  They also customize the color you want to be rather than just a "one size fits all" kinda deal!  You should check it out!

Typically a little over a week to two weeks... it looks really great day 2, after you've had a chance to let it set in for 24 hours and taken your first shower.

I recommend having a person spray you than Mystic or Versa Spa.  I like Versa Spa too, but I would not do it for my wedding.  This place does an amazing job air brushing and they have a "no bronze formula" for brides to reduce tan rub-off.

I got my airbrush at Today Tan in Plano.  The lady was great.  I got it done for my engagements and it lasted a long time.  I would recommend getting it done two days before your event.  For instance, I am getting mine done on the Thursday before my wedding which is on a Saturday.
