  • What went well last week?
    I went on a somewhat long walk last Tues with FI.. a little over 4 miles! It was a great walk but I was stupid and wore shorts. Piece of advice.. do NOT wear shorts on long walks/runs! My poor thighs had some nice little red bumps all over :-( Wasn't too bad but I never had that problem before! Other than that, I think I've mostly been eating pretty well. I recently upped my calories on MFP to see if that works for me (weird concept, but apparently it works for some people!). Not a big difference yet, so we'll see.

    What were your downfalls last week?
    Bought some donuts.. and a little bit of junk (who can resist pizza served in cone form?!). I also was lazy but I use cramps and migraines as my excuse.. haha. I know, bad excuse, but I really felt like crap :-/

    What are your plans for this week?
    Hoping to FINALLY make it to yoga tomorrow. I keep saying I want to go and never do. At the very least I hope to get to the gym and do some walking and/or weight lifting. It's WAY too hot to go for a walk outside! I mean, it's 11pm and it's still about 90 degrees. Yuck.

    What went well last week?
    I caught up on sleep! I had such a busy trip to PA to do wedding planning stuff, that I was exhausted when we got back. I did beat my 5K time by 15 seconds right before the trip so that was a good note.

    What were your downfalls last week?
    I went totally off of my routine because I was absolutely exhausted from traveling the week before. I also didn't make balanced meals- I blame that on 3 cake tastings during my trip and falling back into my fiance's eating habits (too many carbs).

    What are your plans for this week?
    This week I also seriously need to get back on my routine. Typically I'm in the gym 5 days/week. I lift and then slack on my cardio because I'm tired, but I need to get back to my goal of 1 hour cardio/day plus alternating upper and lower body lifting. I also keep puting off yoga- and I really need it to tone, so my goal is to just do it once this week and maybe I can build up to 2-3 times per week in the future.

    Side note- Lifting has so many benefits for women! Just make sure to do low weight, high reps if you're only trying to tone. I was embarassed in college to lift, until I started working at the gym, and I realized no one is paying attention to you. Just turn on your ipod and forget about everyone else :) Good luck ladies!
