FI got me into it, he's doing his 2nd IronMan this November. I don't aspire to do an IronMan..that's just nuts and doesn't sound like fun to me! haha

just a sprint tri - i have not done one yet, i was thinking maybe one in august, but the heat is really turning me off!!!
but i'm looking to do the one in mansfield right after the wedding (well 2 weeks after) - 4th Ironhead Women’s Sprint Triathlon

Oh awesome, I may look into that one as wel!! I'm afraid to do one before the wedding. I took a pretty bad spill about 2 months ago on my bike, and my face got pretty messed up. I'm TERRIFIED of that happening again so close to the wedding. Makeup couldn't cover anything like that up! It was ok back then, because I still had about 4 months to go and it had time to heal. But this close...that would be dangerous.

I hate the swimming part...for some reason, it's just not easy for me! The biking is my favorite, running is..eh, I can handle it.

i felt the same way as to maybe getting messed up BEFORE the wedding!!! funny!
i really want to do this one though since i live in mansfield. i hate swimming as well, i didn't even know how to swim until recently, so i'm pretty pumped up!

Hahah! Well at least I'm not the only one paranoid about it! FI and our friends that we train with are doing the Peach Pedal, and Hotter n Hell rides (just cycling) in July, and then August and one of the girls keeps asking me if I want to do it and I keep telling her I would love to, but I'd just rather play it safe! I've never done a pack ride, and I could see myself crashing easily and that's fine..just AFTER the wedding. haha.
