After 2+ years of trying to lose weight for the wedding, and losing and gaining back the same 15 lbs on Weight Watchers twice, it's crunch time for me.

Sadly, I'm slightly above where I started out when I got engaged, but at least I know more of that is muscle now. I coudn't even run a mile then and now I can do triathlons.

So now I'm going to try and track with Sparkpeople.com for these next two weeks and at least shed a couple pounds, I hope. I hate tracking points, calories, etc--I loathe it with my very being.

Any other tips besides cutting out diet soft drinks (and regular of course) and limiting salt to reduce bloating?

Well, I don't really seem to be losing any weight, but I have noticed that I have toned up in some areas.  I have not been so good about exercising this week though.  I have been super tired and I don't really know why. :-(

But I'm happy to say that my FI and I have started running and my endurance is a lot more than I thought it would be!

i've lost 6% body fat and 9.2 lbs of fat, gained 2 lbs of muscle in 4 months. i have 4 months minus one day to the wedding and i have about 6% more to go! i need to lose 1 lbs of muscle and 12 lbs of fat to be at my ultimate goal.... but even if i don't get there, i need to lose some more since i ordered my dress 1 size too small!!!!!
i just changed my workout last week, so that i will not gain anymore muscle, but continue to lose fat. i get frustrated i'm not at my goal, but when i look at where i've come from - i need to give myself some credit- which is hard to do!

I'm really trying to get back on track. I've been so inconsistent lately.

Marissa - I once read an article by a nutritionist who works with stars to help them look good for red carpet events. He said he always recommends eating bananas because the potassium helps reduce bloat. I don't know if it works or not, but it doesn't hurt.

marissa, make sure you are calorie cycling... meaning if your average you want to take in in one day is (for example say 1500 calories), then do 1350 one day, 1650 the next, 1500 the next and so on... keep your average the same, but change the amounts per day... this will keep your body from getting use to the same everyday and try to set you there.
make sure you are also changing up your excerses. make sure you check your body fat, so that you aren't gaining a bunch of muscle while losing fat (which means you will stay the same on the scale)... change your workout approiately to accomdate if you are.
make sure the calories you eat are "good calories" and not coming from "junk" food. tracking them will help you get a good idea of where you are at and what you need to adjust. good luck!!!

watch out for bananas to control bloat... for some people they actually cause gas and then bloating... and they are about 100 calories each, so keep that in mind as well....
as you get your weight and body fat down, the bloat will come down to. track also to see if certain foods make you more bloated.

Well, I was doing really well and then we went to San Marcos for my BIL's graduation.  So now I'm just trying to get back on track from that.  I AM doing yoga tonight which I'm really excited about and tomorrow night is my favorite kickboxing class.

I have been going to WW for 4 weeks now, and lost 4 lbs.

In my not-gonna-happen-dream-world, I would like to lose 8 more lbs in the just less than 3 months to go until the wedding.

I'm not actually weighing myself but I can tell that I am losing inches.  I have a lot of people telling me that I look like I've lost a lot of weight--in reality it's probably about 15 lbs.  The reason I know I'm still losing weight/inches?  The dress that I bought to wear to the prom this past Saturday is the first time that I can remember that the leading number wasn't a 2-.

Yay, Julie! I've been there before, so I know how awesome that feels! Congratulations on a big milestone!

I've been eating healthy and working out 6 days a week and have continued to maintain my weight which is my goal. I don't want to lose any more weight but do want to gain some muscle or bulk.

Mariah - where do you do kickboxing?  That sounds fun.  I need some motivation!

Good job on everybody else's accomplishments. I haven't worked out since before the wedding but luckily all I do at work is walk around in a 3 building hospital so I'm not gaining too much.

I'm halfway to my goal weight.  I've been lazy about working out and counting calories lately, so that's resulted in maintaining weight for the last 1-2 weeks.  I'm pretty happy with that - I need a few weeks to just chill and maintain rather than obsess over body image.  I've come a long way and it's time to enjoy that and enjoy some social time and good food with DH and friends.

That said, I'm still planning on packing my scale with me on vacation to keep me honest over the next two weeks.  Hopefully the weather will be nice and I'll be running outside a lot.

I am down 12 pound in 16 days. I think that is because I have so much weight I can lose :). I need about 28 more pounds gone. I wear a size 18 now.

    Wow!  Congrats to everyone.

I do not seem to be loosing anything on the scale, but people are saying I look like I'm loosing weight.  I guess that's what counts, but I'm not convinced they're not saying it because they know I'm getting married in 3 weeks  :)

I'm so jealous! I lost 3 pounds and then plataued!! I'm pretty convinced this is my body's "comfortable weight." But to be honest, I'm really only concerned with my chubby cheeks! I hate them!!!!

This is me starting my weight loss journey in earnest... again.

I lost about 23 lbs 4 years ago, and in that time I've gained about 10 of it back.  I'm now at a size 10/12 and 166 lbs.  My doctor advised me to set my realistic goal weight at about 145 lbs.

My wedding is in 4 months, and I hope I can get most of the way there.  I need to get serious!  :-/

I am in the same boat with you, haley05aggie.   Despite the fact that my event is 6 months away, I can't seem to motivate myself to be consistent with my exercise routine and good eating habits.   But I think there is a ray of light . . . I ordered the Zumba Exercise DVD  today on Amazon.  It is supposed to get here next week, so stay tuned . . .

Yeah, I really just lost all motivation in the craziness of finals and moving in the last 6 weeks. But I know if I can even just get down 6-8 lbs it will show in my face, and that is enough for me right now.

Ive lost 31pounds in about 3 months and have just been maintaining for the last 2 weeks.  With the move coming up my goal is to just maintain until our 2nd week in TX and then I will have down time while I search for a job so I will be trying to get in 6-8 hours of working out per week which is what I did to lose the 31.  I would like to be down another 30-35 by Oct when I go dress shopping then that only leaves me with 15-20 to lose until my wedding in May.  I think my plan is very realistic and I hope I can do it!

I just started WW on Monday.  It SUCKS, and all I do is think about food and how hungry I am all the time.  But, I've lost 2.8 lbs already, so it is motivating at least.
