Short Dresses in November

I'm trying to pick out my bridesmaids dresses for my November wedding. I feel so limited with long dresses and find shorter dresses way cuter.. Any thoughts on having bridesmaids wearing short dresses for a November wedding? Is it completely tacky? HELP!

I had the same dilemma but my sister convinced me we should do long dresses.  I got married at night on an outside terrace and the girls wore long satin dresses and light wraps.  It looked great and it was probably the best choice, especially since I had a more formal hotel wedding.

That being said, I don't think it's completely 100% necessary that you do long dresses because it's fall--I think it has more to do with the look and feel you are going for overall (i.e., if you are having a casual, daytime, or cocktail type wedding, I think short dresses are more appropriate versus a formal, nighttime wedding.)  HTH!

    depends on who is watching!!

if you have a cool family and fun set of friends, then short is good!

if its a traditional crowd and you want that classic touch, then you need long.
