I finally have something to AW about! After getting a lot of opinions about having a videographer for my wedding on Facebook I decided to meet with one yesterday. I am so glad I did! He has graduated just 2 years ago so his prices are extremely low. For $500 I'm getting full coverage with 2 shooters (him & his fiancée) with HD cameras, and a 5 minute "moments of the day" video along with the standard edited longer version. He's only done 4 weddings, but I love the style of those videos! I'm so excited!

That's awesome on the videographer! I definitely am glad I decided to get one -- and not for the reasons I expected at all!

I thought it would be to capture the ceremony & what was said ... but so far I've loved being able to watch our friends out on the dance floor during the reception clips! The video tells the story even better than the pictures on that part.

That's a great deal, too. I only paid something like $700 for the ceremony & reception coverage, and that was the highest amount I was willing to pay for video. So glad there are some reasonably-priced ones out there!

My AW - I'm getting the actual printed photos I ordered from Snapfish in the mail today. I ordered a total of, like, 1200 pictures (including pics from the RD and honeymoon). Even though I've already seen all of them on the computer, I'm excited to be able to actually flip through them.

Well I am finally in single numbers-9 days!!!Eeeek!

My BP is Sat night in Fort Worth

All favors and programs are DONE! Only thing I have left to do that is DIY is my sign for the cards and a "thank you" gift basket for the rooms. My mom said she is buying the things for it but I get to put them all together (fine by me!)

On Monday I finalize everything with videographer, DJ, and photographer. I also get pictures from my bridals!!  If my guestbook is ready, I get that too! (I'm really excited to see that so I hope it is! If not no biggy!) Plus I get to pick up my dress and the bustle will be done!

I actually had a dream about our wedding last night, and I couldn't actually remember any part of the ceremony in the dream.  =(

I got my keys to our new building a few days ago and I'm SO excited to be a part of this new school!  It looks and feels more like a college than a high school -- our kids are so lucky!

Oh, and I had my first fitting with Becky!  I love her!

For the ladies there, the table thief put a note up on her FB about how awful this girl who stole her table was.  I lol'd.

Brianna: Kendall went to high school with this awful girl!!! It was so strange.

I went to HS with her.  We aren't FB friends, but a fellow classmate saw both status updates (mine and hers) and msg'd me laughing about it

This girl wanted a both that sat 8 of us for her and a guy.  The place was packed so it was this booth or we were waiting a loooong time for a real table.  We were there waiting for 30-45 min before she and her date came in and had been watching the guys finish up the whole time.  I just happened to beat her to it with my ninja fast table grabbing skills ;D She then gave me dirty looks for the whole night.

Yeah, I still don't get her whole issue. The fact that their buzzer went off and she turned down the table to stand there was bitchy IMO.

As they started to stand up, she turned to walk to their table.  I hopped up and beat her over to ask if they were finishing up and if we could sneak in after them.  Once they realized she was stalking the table, the big guy got up and blocked her way completely.  That guy was awesome. 

Like 4 minutes later, the 2 person booth right beside us opened and they took it.  Dirty looks all night from that table were fun

Totally not wedding related, but I wanted  to share  our new lamps for our night stands.  I found these brass ones at the Salvation army for $25 for the pair. I sprayed them and added new shades.

Wow, I wasn't there or anything, but that's just extra-crazy. I especially can't imagine coming in <em>way after</em> a large group and thinking I had a right to the only large-group table.

I have an AW (I technically don't know what AW stands for, but I feel the gist is "Awesome-Wawesome")!  We thought this whole time FI's parents (both sets) weren't paying for rehearsal dinner, we even sent out our invites that said "Hosted by the Bride and Groom."  But now each set has offered to pay for half!  I'm glad   And my fiance is so happy about it and feels loved, so that's the most important part.

Those lamps are really cute!!!! I am jealous of your talent... I would have looked at them and walked away.. BUT if I had seen them in blue.... been bummed because they would have cost too much!!! Because now in blue.. they look like something from Z Gallerie for about 200 bucks!!! SOOO cute. And Aves room is owls.... so I thought they were really cute too!!

My awww is invitations go in the mail today!!! This is after being up until 1 a.m. yesterday finishing them. My handwritting is pretty sloppy towards the end.

Also, send me videography info. too! Want to see if I can talk my fiance into paying for this because I really want a video. Otherwise I'll bring in flip cameras.

To everyone thinking about videographers, we just got our wedding video back this weekend and I am so happy I got one!  I wasn't going to spend the money, but now I am glad I did.  It was the first time I got to actually hear the harp music and see all my bridesmaids and family members walk down the aisle.  They captured the things that my DH and I said to each other after the ceremony as we were walking back.  I would just so highly recommend it if its at all in your budget!

Thanks for the videophraphy feedback.  This is something that we have been on the fence about the past few months.  We are trying to stay around the $700-$800 range for cermony and reception and have not been able to find someone yet.  We are still 3 months away from the wedding but I want to get this checked off the list!

If Jason (Wylie Video) is available on your date, I highly recommend him. I can't remember what I paid in total, but I think it was a $750 package and I got discounts for meeting him at a bridal show AND something he was offering on Weddingwire. He was a really cool guy, too. He was the first vendor there and probably the last to leave, and he seemed like he genuinely really cared whether I liked the video or not. That being said, check out his work on his website and see if you like it. I definitely liked his style.
