PSA: Organic Food Co-op

In my quest to become an urban crunchy yuppie, I found out about an Organic co-op today. I've already signed up and thought some of you guys might be interested.

http://urbanacres.wordpress.com/

You pay a one-time fee to join, and then every 2 weeks you pick up a full bin ($50) or half-bin ($30) of locally-grown organic produce. That is really cheap! They have pickup locations around quite a few areas in Dallas--even Addison and Irving, and have a full store in Oak Cliff you can get organic meat, milk, etc. at.

I second this co-op! The Oak Cliff store is about 2 blocks from our house and AMAZING! They recently started selling to non-members as well. We have really enjoyed taking part in this and actually share a bin with some neighbors because one bin is too much food for just the two of us. I can't wait to start making baby food with all the yummy veggies. Oh, and their milk, although whole, is amazing...it tastes like melted ice cream. They even have organic dog food...

Nice find, Marissa!  I was looking for one of these last year and couldn't find anything in the area!
