What to wear for engagement pics

Hi everyone, my fiance and I are taking our engagement pictures in a couple of weeks, and we dont exactly know what to wear.  I know the pictures are supposed to be our style, but I am just looking for ideas on what will be flattering, good colors, etc.  We are taking some indoor as well as outdoor.  We both have a laid back western style, him more so then me, but our wedding will reflect that as well.  We both are planning on wearing our cowboy boots for both the pictures and the wedding as well.  Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

Wear something comfortable--you'll be in lots of awkward positions and will walk around alot.  Wear something where you don't have to worry about a tag or string sticking out, etc.  Bring comfy shoes to walk in between poses if you think you will need them.

I wore a summer dress and then changed into jeans, a dressy top and heels.  I have pics in my planning bio.

Wear something comfortable .... Jeans and a nice top might work. Our photographer suggested staying in the same color family (jewl tones, pastels) but not everybody wearing the same color (we included my kids and his niece in some of the shots) and they came out well. Each person wore their favorite color and we had fun with it,

Wear a dress with boots and a hat. Stay away from Black and brown solid color shirts or dresses. If you are wearing something white than do complement it with something red or blue or yellow. I hope that helps.
