bridal shower question

i didn't think i was having a bridal shower at all, but my FI's sister-in-law is going to throw me one while we are visting his family for the 4th of july. his mom will help out and have it at her house....
question, do i get them thank you presents? if so, what? when do i give it to them?

might i add, i'm really excited! it was very thoughtful of her since she is not even part of the wedding party at all!!!!

Yes I would get them something as it sounds like they are the hosts.  I got my hosts bath stuff from Bath and Body works, wine, candles, and other things they were in to.

You want to get them a gift. Normally you want to give it to them after the party. Just give them something you would give them normally for any occassion or something girly!!

I don't think it matters when you give them their hostess gift.  I gave my hostesses gifts before the party, but that was because I had gotten there early.

Not sure when the right time is but I was pushed to do mine after the games and cake and before we opened gifts.

I did give 1 the day before because I knew they weren't going to be there.

I gave my hostesses theirs at the shower.  I got them candles and Godiva chocolate (but I did not know my hostesses at all--I met them for the first time at the shower).

Another cute thing girls do is sometimes they have their FI come at the end and deliver flowers to the hostess.  I've always thought that was cute.

I always send flowers to the house beforehand and then give them (after the shower is over) something. I went to Tuesday morning and got soap/lotion caddies, a crystal candy dish, and candy. Something small and nice to show your appreciation.
