Honestly, I bought mine off of etsy!  I found what I wanted in the store and it was too expensive so I got it way cheaper off of there!  It was only $31 and I love it!

I would be iffy about buying a veil online.  I was one that wanted to see the veil with my dress so I knew that the color matched and that it looked good with the dress.  I was just really concerened that what I saw online might be misleading or the color might look one way on my computer screen but in person it is slightly different.    Well that's my two sense.

I bought mine off of Ebay (a lot of ladies here have) it was less than $20 including shipping and it is perfect!!

Online!  Mine was bought in the store and it was $130.  My family wouldn't listen to me that I could get it online for much less and bought it anyways.

There seems to be a popular vendor on the board that several girls have used but I have no idea what the business name is.

Yeah, I'm in Ewinkler's camp.  I sucked it up and paid the $179.  I really did love my veil though.  At least I didn't buy the long one for $400.

Just make sure you buy from a reputable vendor.

A lot of girls recommend valuveil dot com. There is an ebay seller called venus veils and one by the name of veils by lesle v

I probably would have gone the online route, if my mom didn't buy my veil for me.  She ordered it at Terry Costa the same time we ordered my dress.

I got mine at Circle Park Bridal for $55.  Anyone need a veil?  Mine's for sale now.

So is my dress, too. :-)

Have you thought about making your own?  There's lots of how-to's if you do a google search.  That's my plan.  If you use tulle you don't even need to sew.  I think Michael's might even sell a kit.

aphitx - that's where I got mine from also....it was a little expensive but it's also cathedral length, very detailed with scalloped edges, flower appliques with crystals, and crystals scattered throughout. My dress is very simple so I got to play it up a bit with the veil - I LOVE IT!!!
I would've been ok to get it online from etsy or someplace where I know has a reputable dealer that other girls have used.

I think the online route is great (Ebay or Etsy) from reputable vendors.  I have a simple veil I ordered from Ebay vendor Veils by Leslie, cathedral length for $35, I believe.  That being said, the veil I'm actually wearing is one I bought with the dress, it was discounted due to a tiny snag near the haircomb (totally not visible) so I got it for $50.
