"shower" for second wedding. help please :)

so my aunt is 40-something and having her second wedding in about a month...we are trying to think of something to do for her beforehand but she doesn't want a shower or anything like that, since it will be a pretty low-key wedding with family...we are at our wits end trying to find ideas for something special to do for her...trying to keep costs relatively low, as we're all traveling to be there.

TIA!!

How about a spa day for all the women in the wedding?

How about a luncheon?  I also like the idea of a spa day?  How many people are you thinking of including?

How about if you back off and let your 40-something aunt enjoy being engaged without a shower/event, since that's what she's already told you SHE wants...

I was 40-something when I got married, and a month ahead of time I just wanted to double-check reservations & contracts, and spend the rest of the time working ahead for the time I'd miss on the HM, etc.  I had no shower, no bach party, no hijinks common to 20-something's weddings and I don't regret that I missed all of that stuff.

Wow......poor girl just wants to do something for her aunt. I agree that a spa day would be really relaxing and fun.

thanks everyone for the ideas! we will most likely be looking into doing a spa day :)

kristin...she doesnt want a shower because she already has the household items that would normally be given at one...which is why we were trying to think of something else to all do together without the typical shower.

If the spa day is too pricy...just do a nice luncheon instead.  I'm sure she will enjoy getting out with the ladies for a nice lunch & conversation.
