Our rehearsal dinner is in one week. My question is that my mother (mother of the groom) is giving us the rehearsal dinner. My father and mother do NOT get along and I was wondering since I am the groom and the dinner is for us and to kick off the festivities for us should I give the toast to thank all our family and friends for coming? I feel I should but if my mother should then she would be ok with that. I have already planned for giving a speech just in case. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
