Bridal Shower Ideas

Hi, So the bride and groom have been living together for almost 2 years and have alot of household items, also alot of their registry istems have been purchased.  Alot of the guests coming to the Bridal Shower want to bring money to maybe help with a downpayment or other marriage expenses that may arise, does anyone have any ideas on what to do when it is time to pen presents.  It doesnt seem to be fun or polite to anounce money gifts and how much people gave. Help please

Nothing needs to be said about how much money is given if it is a cash gift.  If she's getting regular gifts, the cards with monetary gifts can either be put aside and opened another time or opened and just mentioned that it is a "gift of money".  It IS rude to announce how much someone is giving, but there's nothing wrong with saying that it's a cash gift...those kinds of gifts are given at a lot of showers.

The bride should open and boxed gifts that she receives. It's not necessary to open the cards. If the gift opening time is short, it gives people more time to socialize.
