Pre-wedding Parties

When to have "autograph plate" signed?

My mother got me one of those signable plates but we don't know the best time to pass it around - at our engagement party (which is in 2 weeks) or at the rehearsal dinner (won't be getting married until 2014)?  We are only missing a small handful of important family members and a groomsman due to long distance, so if we passed it around at the engagement party we would then need to have the others who are missing sign at a later date.

Are you sure you want it signed now and not closer to the wedding? I've never seen anything signed besides at a shower or the wedding.

Since your wedding is so far away, you can use it at your engagement party (IF you do not want to save it for the bridal shower or rehearsal dinner)

Then you can display it with pictures of your engagement party.

    Enjoy!
