Halloween Engagement Party Invites

My mom is planning our engagement party for halloween.  It is going to be a brunch.  Does anyone have any good ideas for the invitation wording?

    The fact that it is on Halloween really doesn't have any bearing on the invitation wording. You can just say something along the lines of: "Please join mhoneill and mhoneill FI in celebrating their engagement on the 31st of October at *address.*"

    It's not a Halloween party.  It's an engagement party.  So the invitation would only have to indicate that it's a brunch on October 31 to celebrate the engagement of you and your FI.

    I agree with the other ladies, that it doesn't have to be Halloween themed; however, on that note, I am a HUGE fan of Halloween and think it would be cool if you tied the two events together.  What about a 'Love Potion Number 9' theme?  I think you could do a lot of cute stuff with that.  It ties into an engagement but also tends to be a little spooky.

    My Wedding is on Oct 30 and we are playing up Halloween, invitations and all with tasteful twists....

    what if you did leaves falling to show falling in love... the love potion was a great idea...  you could do couples from halloween themed games...

    have a great time... if anything play up fall / halloween colors and candy treats.
