"Bridal Shower"

Hello ladies, I was just wondering is a bridal shower much needed? or is it something that could be done away? I have a matron of honor and 2maid of honors and none of them have the funds to throw me a bridal shower. So should I throw it myself or should I just not have one at all?

    No, a bridal shower is not needed. Same for a bachelorette party. In order to have one of these parties, they must be the ones throwing the party for you. You may not throw the party yourself. The only party we brides are supposed to plan is the reception.

    It's not needed, and throwing it for yourself is extremely rude.  If nobody offers to throw you one, you don't have one, and it's no big deal.
