What are some things that FI does that absolutely drives you NUTS?

On the flip side,

What are some things he does that make you say... "awe Kiss"?

And.....go!

It drives me crazy when he taps his teeth with his finger.  I just hate the sound of it and he isn't even really aware that hes doing it!

I love that he always calls me everyday during his lunch break to talk to me for a few minutes.  Especially since he is not a phone talker :-)

    Drives me crazy:

We have 2 extra bedrooms, one is fully set up to be an office....and he spreads all of his work out all over the living room, instead.

    Makes me awww:

He always tells me how beautiful I am when I wake up and when I come home from the gym... when CLEARLY there is nothing beautiful about me at those times.

Chris has been slurping lately, and I don't get it- if you're food is hot, blow on it.  i don't want to hear you gasping and slurping because your mouth is on fire.  That's about all I have.

He's constantly doing little things that make me smile.  Leaving notes around the house for me to find, gets up with me in the morning even if it's just to let the dog outside so I don't have to, packing a treat in the back/bottom of my lunch.  He takes such good care of me.  I'm an incredibly lucky girl.

The best one..."Do you want the good news or the bad news?  Good news is I had to call say I love you, bad news is I cant get you out of my head"

I can't stand when he over commits himself/us to things. Drives me insane.

I love when he rolls over in the morning after we wake up and cuddles with me, and tells me how much he loves me. I know..cliche. But we aren't the type of couple who is saying "I love you" to each other 100 times a day. So when we say it, we really mean it.

It frustrates me that he will rinse the dishes, but not put them in the dishwasher - the other half of the sink is literally the exact same distance away from the side we wash in, as the dishwasher is, but just the other direction... instead of working so hard to fit them all into the small side of the sink on the left, turn to your right and put them in the dishwasher.

I love all the little things he does... shuts up my griping with a kiss, has dinner ready when I have to work late, takes out the trash, all that good stuff.  I'm very spoiled :)

    Drives me crazy:

He has to tell me every little thing right then (see FFF).  (i.e., you got your notice to make your dental appointment in the mail today.  Great, that's riveting, I'm in the middle of a brief that has to go out in 5 minutes--think we could possibly talk about this later?)

    Makes me awww:

Too many to count.  Today he got up to feed the cats (as he did yesterday) because I wasn't feeling well, even though he HATES to feed them when it's not his day.  And he makes me laugh 24/7.

It drives me crazy when the trash is full and instead of taking it out, he'll leave something (like a pizza box) on the counter because it doesn't fit int he can.  Ugh, just take out the trash!

It really makes me smile when I check our joint account for the wedding and notice that he has made a large deposit (he never tells me when he does, I only notice when I'm checking the account balance).  I also love when I mention something in passing, and he'll surprise me by doing it later.

I hear you on the trash Lauren.

DH drives me nuts because even though he has been out of college for 6 years, he strives to still be that college kid.  I get it- you had a fun time, can we move on please?

He's good at making me laugh.

    Drives me crazy:
He bites his nails....or should I say fingers so far down that they bleed sometimes - really?? Does it taste that good?!? Also, he never, ever leaves me a voicemail message and when I try to call him back he won't answer...uggh

    Awww:
A whole lot! Ever since we have moved into our house he has become such a homemaker...doing the yard, hanging pictures, dusting (yes, I said dusting), and not leaving his clothes out on the floor. When we have an argument he can always make me laugh when I don't want too - which irritates me at the time but it ends the fight. He can be crazy and fun at the most random moments and he never stops amazing me with the things that come out of his mouth - LMAO most of the time. The best AWWW though is when I wake up to him playing with my hair - I just melt.

He never takes out the trash anymore.  At our old place we had a trash pick-up every Mon/Wed/Fri - so if the trash wasn't put out, then we had to tolerate it - sometimes over the weekend.  Well, the apt we are at now has a trash chute, to use at your leisure.  Damn leisure!  He walks by it every day - and never takes it.  And yes, it's his job.  If I clean the toilet - he can take out the trash.

Awe - He is really sweet, though.  He cooks a lot (since I suck at cooking), he always makes me coffee, he takes the dog out in the morning - and if it's raining :)

    Drives me crazy:
Socks.  Everywhere.  He walks through the laundry room everyday when he gets home... can we not drop the socks off in the basket I have in there?

Aww:  Sometimes I'll catch him watching me sleep and he'll tell me he loves me just before he goes to bed.  I usually go to bed about 1.5 hours before he does and most of the time I'm out until I get up in the morning, but occasionally I'll wake up when he climbs into bed and I'll notice he does this...

My FI is the exact same way!!!

And what bugs me, is sometimes he doesn't respond to text messages either and he claims he thought it was a "statement" not a question. GRR

    Drive me nuts:

I am a very opinionated person, so he has decided he would just rather never have an opinion on anything so  can get what I want.  Sweet, but sometimes I want him to just stand up and give an opinion / make a decision.

    Things I love:

One of many... He just randomly brings me flowers or send them to my office.  So sweet.

Mine's similar to Lauren's, but my FI won't leave the too-large garbage item on the counter ... he'll just shove it in the trash can no matter how much room is left in the garbage bag, which usually means the garbage bag slips down inside the can. Which means I have to then reach in, dig the sides of the bag out, touching whatever stuff he just threw out, in order to take the trash out. So. Gross.

But he's sweet and randomly kisses me on the cheek when he's passing by me in the house. He also got so genuinely excited that I'd bought him his "favorite kind" of Hot Pockets at the store yesterday that I found it adorable (I'd just bought the weirdest-sounding one they had, and got lucky that it turned out to be his favorite).

    Drives me nuts:

he doesn't think before he speaks...ever, lol.  i'm smiling right now, but this is something that is an ongoing battle...and it transcends several facets of our relationship at times.  he's not an insensitive person, because once i point it out to him, or let him know it was hurtful, he's quick to sincerely convey that he didn't mean it like that, etc...

    Melts my heart:

his random "i love you" texts...
his interaction with my kiddos as if they are his own...
scratching my back at night in bed (because this is really something HE likes and will request that i do...so it's something special when he does it for me...lol)...
he doesn't cook, but he will stand right by me when i am cooking---or grilling, we grill alllll the time...
there's more...tons, and they're all running through my head...well, of course there are, i did say yes to his proposal!

The one that's driving me crazy right now is that he leaves the door to the closet open. We're staying with my parents for the time being and our room is very small and crowded, and when the closet door is open it feels even more small and crowded. It doesn't hurt anything, but it annoys me.

FI is actually a much sweeter and kinder person than I am. He doesn't bring me flowers or gifts, but he makes sure to tell me to drive carefully every time I leave the house, and he calls me his "kitchen hero" because he likes my cooking :)

I'm not a sports girl and he LOVES to watch everything from golf to football.  I wish he would take a liking to PBS and Discovery.

On the plus side, he has a magic touch massage ;)
