G2G Location Suggestions--use this post!

in Texas-Dallas and Ft. Worth
So Thursday, June 3rd is the date...what time? (hit the poll)

I suggested San Francisco Rose in Lower Greenville, but some ladies would prefer it to be more central to both Dallas and Fort Worth. The only problem is that means we are fighting Dallas/Fort Worth  "rush to the suburbs" traffic, but depending on the place it might not be so bad, especially if we do it after 7. But then some people will have an awkward time period in between.

Any suggestions for location?

    I think somewhere around Addison is good.  Or Grapevine.  I went there once when Mandy was still living in Boston and she had come into town and we went out to eat and then saw Sex and the City afterwards.

    In the past they've usually always been up in North Plano/Frisco.  So if it's going to be up there, then I probably won't make it until 7:00 because I'll honestly not want to deal with the traffic getting there from downtown Dallas. I've done it a few times for the G2G and I have to say that the traffic around North Dallas on the tollway at rush hour is pretty friggin annoying. I'll go almost anywhere within reason.

    I'm partial to Grapevine just because of how central it is to Dallas/Ft Worth and still has fun and nice places to go.  But I will also drive anywhere within reason.

    If it's 7:00 Grapevine works.  It'll give traffic some time to die down.

    There is quite a bit of construction that seems to be going on around the airport/Grapevine/Highway 114 so I would rather stay away from that area during that time of day BUT.. having said that if it has to be around that area Southlake Town Center is an option with lots of restaurants..

    Well, the good news about the construction is they're only allowed to work on the roads overnight!

    Grapevine/Southlake just won't happen for me, but I could do Addison. Too bad, because the San Francisco Rose is a super cool bar/restaurant.

    It's Arlington kind of central?? Dont' they have that new Town Center too?? 7pm works for me too..

    I'm not gonna lie, to me, Arlington is not central.  And I definitely wouldn't go that far on a weeknight.

    How about Addison?
    It's near major highways ( 635 and Dallas Tollway ) and hopefully convenient for most? 

    How about Glorias OR Blackfinn(they allow smoking here which I am not a fan of)?

    Disclaimer: I don't live in Addison so that's not why I am suggesting it. I live in/am coming from Mckinney. :)

    Addison is great for me. Grapevine is fine. Dallas works for me too, because going south that time of day is not as big of a deal as going north.

    Man I love Gloria's. That black bean dip is dangerous.

    We went to Glorias in Addison last time--it took me a half hour to find it because the address didn't exist on my GPS and it is buried in a shopping center, and it was really crowded. A whopping 4 of us showed up. I'd suggest elsewhere. Houlihans in Addison is really good.

    We also did Cozymels in Grapevine once, and that was a lot of fun. Love and War in Texas is there too.

    I got the DJ appt. moved to Wed so I'll definitely be there.

    Emi, if you cant make it, I'll still come and watch Bridezillas with you!

    Yeah Arlington is def not central as I know this from experience haha. I'd prefer Dallas over Addison just because I'm going against the traffic but I"m fine with whatever is picked.

    ok, Lets just go with Grapevine this time.  Hopefully construction won't be too bad then. 

    I think it's now time to start a new post about location unless Cozymels works.

    Aww that stinks...Grapevine is like an hour and a half from me...so thats a little to far on a Thursday :(

    We can compromise and hold the next one in Addison.  Hopefully that'll work for those that can't make this one.  We'll miss you!
