NWR P&R for now...

Cause I'm busy at work, but I'll check back when I get home late tonight...

Lady kicked off train for talking on her cell phone for 16 hours: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43078616/ns/technology_and_science-wireless/t/cops-kick-cellphone-blabbermouth-train/?GT1=43001

I just can't fathom how inconsiderate some people are.

I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

I'm pretty sure she threw such a fit when they asked her to hang up that she got arrested. Crazy people.

Ditto.  There are so many times that I just want to tell the person blathering on their phone to just shut up.  Also, don't use your phone in the bathroom.

My question is why it took 16 freakin hours for someone on the 'quiet car' to say something to her about the loud 'yapping'. If there were signs everywhere cautioning passengers to not talk on cell phones as the yahoo article suggests, I would have said something after about 20 minutes. The violator claims that SHE was the one being disrespected? No ma'am.
On a related note, I applaud the USPS and other government offices for having signs advising loudmouths that they will not be serviced if they are on a cell phone.

I read the story and, supposedly, the conductors asked her multiple times.  I think people just got tired of it and this was the easiest way they could handle it.  This is when you're too selfish for society.  She needs her own small island and she can never leave.

My question is this...her cell battery lasted for 16 hours?! Mine would die way before that!

:( I read the wrong version! Fail! At least they asked her before she was kicked off. This reminds me of an epidsode of Grey's (the train episode!) where there is a lady in the ER with her sister and she won't stop talking on the phone and her ringtone was the annoying 'Mexican Hat Dance'. "Dumbass truck tried to outrun a train!" haha.

This. In one version of the story I read, she supposedly went into the quiet car because it was the only open charger at the time.

    Crazy selfishness indeed though
