I'm getting married June 12th.  Initially, we were just going to have background music from the Ipod playing during the reception.  Now we're thinking of hiring a DJ.  Do you have any recommendations even though it's less than a month away?

Sorry if it's been asked over and over.  I looked back a few pages and didn't see anything and couldn't get the search to work.

I'm south of Fort Worth (if that matters).

I LOVED my DJ, Glenn Roush.  But, he is a little expensive ($1500 in 2009).

Alot of girls recommend Melodies and Memories.  We have several Knotties getting married 6/12 though so they may very well be booked already.

A Knottie that just got married loved her DJ and I think he's pretty cheap:  Figment Productions in Euless.

We are using Andrew with A Music Wave. You can try him and when you do tell him Renee his 10/2 bride recommended you!

try Melody with www.melmemdj.com she is GREAT... and if she is booked one of her other guys might be available... Good luck!

I'm using Damany from i-Entertainment... they have several DJs in different price ranges, so hopefully one of them will be available! GL!

I am going to be using Glenn Roush based on other Knotties reviews and my phone conversation with him was amazing.  I booked him for a Friday night and he is 750.00 I do not know about a sat.

The DJ at our prom the other night was Aaron with Uptown Sound.  He was a little high-strung but great to work worth.  I used Matt from Your Special Day DJ (I think that was the name).  I found him through The Knot recommends section.

I got married on March 13th and also used Andy.  He was great to work with and did a great job the day of.

We used Seth from Dallas Rhythms...I LOVED him! Pricey at $1500 last year, but totally worth every cent. He'll also recommend Glenn Rousch

We're using Melody from Melodies & Memories, so far I really like her.

I also really liked DJ Damany Daniel, but his prices were quite a bit higher.

tam427 - i booked for saturday from 1:30pm to 5pm which was his "discounted
afternoon rate" he said. so far he has been really nice... i will keep you posted, but he had high reviews from several people.

Haha, well, I can tell you Melody is booked because we are using her on 6/12. I have a feeling Lori, her partner probably is too, but they have 2 other guys as well.

I also recommend Andy with A Music Wave.

To be honest, though, I think you are going to have a really hard time finding anyone. I believe there are 5-6 of us on this board alone getting married 6/12

Try Marshall Argovitz.  I have booked him for my November wedding, and he's a really nice, funny guy so I'm really looking forward to it...
