    It's our anniversary this weekend and David got plane tickets to New Orleans, and a reservation at the resturaunt where we got engaged!  I'm so excited, and can't believe we've been married for a year already!!!

    I'm getting my dress this wekend and Rick and I are getting to babysit my 2 month old niece on Saturday night while my sister and b-i-l go to a wedding.  Hopefully it all goes smoothly.  They deserve a night off!

    Seems like a gorgeous day for Marissa's bridals!

    Congratulations, Shannon!!!!

    I'm buying lots of new clothes.  I got a great new dress yesterday in a style and fabric I don't normally wear.

    I picked up my dress last saturday and picked out my bridesmaides dresses.  And this weekend I have 3 cake tastings and a meeting with a florist.

    I love getting stuff done!

    Chris and I ordered chucks in our wedding colors.  We're going to wear them in some of our engagement pics, at the send off brunch the morning after the wedding, and anyday after to remember the wedding.  We'll be getting green laces for his (we didn't like the shade of green that converse had available)

    Hmm... well I got our cake topper and my hair flower for the reception!  Bought them both from other Knotties for a great deal.  That's checks at least!

    Have an un-check though.  I think I'm going to be changing florists.

    Congrats on the Condo, steph and everyone else's AWs.

    Tiff- we had to change florists, too, due to challenges in communication.  I'm glad we did, though, even though I was stressed about it for a bit.

    My AW:  Booked hair and make-up for me and all my BMs, my Jr. BM, and MOB and MOG.  Everyone wants in!  The gal is arranging it so several girls are working with us so we can all get it done at the same time and don't have to stagger.  What a time saver.  And they have a small room across from the salon room that we are free to bring in some food.  I'm so excited!

    Amber- yes I'm having the same problem!   I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt right now, but if I don't hear anything by tonight I'm going to be making some more appointments.   I really dread them too....

    Sorry about the florists.  However, as hard & stressful as it may be, finding a vendor that listens to you is 10 x's better in the end.

    Awesome AW's ladies, weight loss, closing, New Orleans, etc.  Sounds like it's been a good week for positive news.

    Amberpro, if you don't mind me asking who did you go with for your make-up artist? I'm having such a hard time finding someone who can stay in my budget.

    Tiffany- who was/is your original florist?  Just curious.  It REALLY stressed me out at first, but I am really glad we did.  I'm very happy with where we have ended up.  And she answers calls EVERY TIME.  Load off... good luck!

    rcpm- I went with Bel Fiore salon and spa in rockwall.  My stylist and make-up artist is Meredith.  She is arranging it so several girls are working on our party at the same time.  She's very sweet and helpful.  An up-do is $55 and make-up is $23.  If my BMs just want a blow-out and curled, then it will be $38-45 (depending on what "level" the stylist is). GL!  I thought those prices sounded reasonable (let me know if they're not, ladies!  Cause I sure don't know...)

    My normal stylist is at the Salon and Spa at Rockwall and they are very good.  I highly recommend them.

    Rockwall is sooooo far for us to travel. Our wedding is in Grapevine. It's ok, I'll keep looking around. The ones that everyone has suggested I've looked into, prices are just a tad too high. Maybe I've got unrealistic ideas of what I should pay...oh well, the search continues!

    My AW is that we booked our bakery today - Texas Star Bakery! One more vendor to go and then I think I'm finally done! Woo hoo!

    julie- the same one I booked with?  FI and mom get me gift cards at Belfiore for beauty treatments sometimes.  I LOVE it.  I'd never been to the salon side until my consultation on Tuesday.

    Yes, I think so.  Is it in the new shopping center there by the La Madeline's? 

    RCPM,
    I would suggest Mouton's but I know they're pricey.  There's an Old World Salon in Southlake (not too terribly far).  You might want to try them.
