Help...Reception needed!

I need some serious help...it is not going to be easy but...

We are having to look for a new reception location. I live in irving. Our wedding is for about 400-450 guests. We need to be able to bring in our own food and drinks since we already have a contract with someone concerning that.

Help please....I get married in March.

Thaks for all the suggestions. I'm currently booked with NTX but we are having problems with them...soo we are trying to find another location.

Ashtons gardens is not available until the summer.

Celebrations has our date booked :( I liked that place

Some of the other places don't allow your own catering. :(

I think with 400 people you're going to be really limiting yourself as far as locations are concerned.  Especially ones that let you bring in your own catering.

I would search Wedding Wire for ideas on venues.  I honestly can't think of anything that big that will let you bring in so many guests. The Hickory Street Annex holds up to 350...but you have to have an approved caterer, but it's worth looking into.

You may also want to look into the Bass Hall.  Maybe they have a room large enough and one that allows your caterer.

There's a new place that just opened in Mansfield that holds 400.  It says on the website outside catering is available: http://www.aristideevents.com/Aristide_Home.htm

Actually, I think Hickory Street Annex is about 175--it was wayyyy too small for our 250 guest list.

    Check out Eddie Deen's Ranch,
     Frontiers of Flight Museum
    The Women's Museum

Check out ALL the locations Fair Park has to offer--they have some pretty large spaces

To be honest, most everything is going to be booked up by March. You might think about majorly cutting your guest list if you can

My venue is Lakewood Theater in Dallas. It's very unconventional, but with tables, it holds about 400 and they allow outside catering.

Where is your ceremony going to be?  It seems like we are giving you locations all over the place.

What about the Eisenmann Center?  They have several large areas.  It looks like they have a preferred caterer list, but yours may be on there or possibly could be added.

You can also call your caterer and see who they mighit be on the preferred list for as well.

My ceremony is in Irving, TX.

We found a place called Lindero Ranch. But as the name suggests....it is western themed. I'm not happy about it but I might have to book since I cant' find anything else with our date available Cry
