Hi ladies,

I just moved to Dallas from Los Angeles, (yes, in the middle of wedding planning!) and would love to make some new friends. And since you all seem so nice and friendly, I figured I'd give this venue a try! 

Anyone want to make a new friend? :)

    Btw, are you getting married in LA?  Just curious, because I got married in my hometown in Orange County and did all my planning from here.  (When I moved here, I told people I was getting married near LA because that's the easiest geographic reference for folks.  If perchance you're getting married in OC, I can recommend some of my vendors.)

    Hi there!

    I am getting married in Los Angeles in November. We had picked the venue and started with all of the preparations before we realized we were going to have to move. But it works out, because logistically it's the best place anyway. (Relatives and friends from all over!)

    How was the move for you, Terrinski? Did you move recently?

    Jay+Marissa, I'd love to do a get together! I think meeting new people here in Dallas has become one of my top priorities. It's definitely hard to be in a new town where you don't know many people. And it's especially hard to plan a wedding without input from your friends! :)

    We moved a few months before we got engaged (moved in August 08, engaged in October 08, married in May 09).  We were actually in DC before moving to Dallas, but shortly after we got engaged we realized it made the most sense to have the wedding in my CA hometown (I have a much bigger family than my husband, and so about 75% of our guest list was from CA).  We only got to make one trip out to CA to do wedding planning stuff - so all we managed was two caterer tastings and two cake tastings.  Everything else we did from Dallas, mostly via email, and overall I was very pleased.  So it can be done!  Good luck with the planning you have left :)
