I'm really tempted to post this on my Facebook, considering we had 60% of our guests NOT RSVP by the deadline. It took us over a week to track everyone down and get a final headcount.

We have a habit of not being on time for weddings even though I hate being late and we leave early so it's a running joke with DH and I.  The first one we missed thanks to MIL's directions because she knew where she was going.  We missed the entire cermony and don't have a clue if they noticed or not.

The second time we left about an hour earlier than the estimated time on google maps and we got there right before she was walking down the aisle.  It was a gigantic church and we snuck in on the sides.

I don't think I have the balls. And since we're well past the RSVP due date, I think it would just be snarky at this point. But I wish I was gutsy enough to do it!

I have to say--I know I will be a much better wedding guest in the future now that I've planned my own!

The only one I don't agree with is the one about RSVPing as soon as possible--especially the day you receive the invite. Most of the time it isn't as easy as checking the calendar--especially 6-8 weeks out. We got invited to a wedding over Thanksgiving weekend and it took us 3-4 weeks to figure out what our Thanksgiving plans were. Same with people who have to travel.

I think as long as you get it in by the RSVP date you are fine.

Now I wish I hadn't deleted a few people from my Facebook who violated these rules.... I wish I could be passive aggressive now!   Maybe I should print it out and anonymously mail it to them. :)

That is great! Those that RSVP and don't show is the reason why I want to invite more people! At least family will be there
