Is anyone else getting sick of people oversharing information in their facebook status?

I just read something about someone's 15 mo old son pooping in the toilet for the first time. I DON'T NEED TO KNOW THAT!! Pretty sure nobody else cares either!!!!! Overshare, much?

    Yes... I have a few friends that update their status every Hour!!! Literally every hour! I don't understand... get off and do something. I thought about deleting them as a friend just to get rid of it!

    At least that person talks about their son doing something normal (pooping in the toilet), as opposed to the one time my friend posted her son pooped in the bathtub.  Yup, really didn't need to know that.  Personally I would feel bad if my kid did that, and I wouldn't see the need to let everyone else know about it.

    I think refraining from talking about any bodily fluids/functions on a fb status is optimal. I dunno, just my opinion.

    Eh... I'm a mommy of a little one... so it doesn't bother me at all.  I do have a picture of my daughter sitting on the toilet (fully clothed) giving a thumbs up.  I think other parents probably don't mind, but I can see why you wouldn't like it.  It is kind of an overshare.  I guess its all about what you're comfortable sharing!

    BSN- the picture wouldn't bother me. And that stuff doesn't bother me at all, I used to work in daycares in college with infants so all that nasty crap doesn't bother me in the least. I got crapped on and thrown up on every day.

    However, I just think people have gotten carried away with what they share on facebook!

    My aunt is that way... she posts EVERYTHING.  My grandpa passed away about a month ago, and she was giving hourly updates as he was in the hospital.  Once he passed away, she posted that.  And was BRAGGING when she got into town that 30 people had commented on her post!

    seriously... AW!

    I HATE that. My 2 FB pet peeves: posting really private stuff (I don't need to know about your breast milk, thankyouverymuch) or posting 8 updates in the span of an hour. Seriuosly, you must not be doing that much if you are posting on FB every five minutes!

    fb gripes?  we just recently got on fb...the FI and i are doing a joint site...and deleting our ancient myspace sites....
    the only thing that kinda irks me on fb is the "friend suggestions" that we've been getting...mainly people from high school...my MOH suggested nearly 20 people all at once... i went through and approved half...then realized i approved this girl and i had no idea who she was!  that was my fault...following that, i've gotten a ton of requests from people....that i didn't talk to then...!!!  why now????  not being bitter...it's just whatever.  i don't know.  i'd like to be able to keep up with the people that I care about keeping up with without having to filter through the other people...so that's how i'm going to manage the requests that come in directed to me.  i don't care what they share...i have 2 of my own and 1 step child. nothing really phases me about kiddo posts.
