I know I'm probably over my limit on the vibes/prayers but my poor step dad is in the hospital again! He walked in and admitted himself last Thursday so he could do another intense round of chemo but for some reason it's like he walks in to the hospital and immediately gets worse. He was just suppose to be in for chemo which will be uncomfortable and tiring but now he has a fever, in a lot of pain, and his tumor is growing instead of shrinking. Also like I said he walked in himself Thursday and now he can't even get out of the hospital bed to use the restroom.
Seriously why does he get worse at the hospital. So frustrating for my mom and the rest of the family! My mom is starting to think she needs to get a second opinion on everything but not sure. My aunt wants her to go to Houston where they have a facility that is really good for Lymphoma patients but then my mom wouldn't be working and my step dad is on short term disability at work so that is a financial burden added to their stress.
They started him on morphine again yesterday even though he told them he didn't want to be on it this time but he is in so much pain he couldn't stand it anymore. The goal this time for chemo was to shrink the tumor enough to start the bone marrow transfusion process. Not looking good if the tumor is growing. Also he is now running a fever and has another infection in his blood so they have started giving him pints of blood again. Last time he was in the hospital 31 days and I just don't want him to be in again that long. Today is the first day without the chemo so the dr will run a bunch of test on him again. Hopefully they will have some god results!
