Good news...and Sad news

SO I have great news.....WE bought our rings on monday!!!!! mine will be ready ofr pick up on the 12th, and his will be ready in 4-6 weeks...just one more thing that i can cross off my list..and we had the bridal shower this past weekend, it was ok...about 20 people RSVP'd yes and 5 of them showed up, yes i was not happy at all i went home in tears but kept a strong face in front of my TRUE FRIENDS...but then my FI suprised me with tickets for the Trans Siberian Ochstra for later that night so all ended well, and he made that weekend really good for me...

I'm so sorry that those people who RSVP'd didn't come.  That totally sucks...and yes, you definitely find out who your true friends are during the whole wedding process.  Congrats on getting your rings and getting to go to the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert!

I'm sorry to hear about your shower.  One thing I can say from my process so far is that it is definitely true that you find out who your real friends (and even family!) are.

I understand that you're hurt.  I had people not show up to my shower and it did hurt a little.  I had two very small showers and it just meant that I got to chat with everyone and still had a great time.  I'm sure it wasn't intentional so much as something came up or something.

I'm sorry about your shower! I am finding out too just how weddings can bring out the worst and the best in people!!! It's crazy the things that go on or will happen - but you did well...take it all in stride. Congrats on the rings! What a big check!
I bet the orchestra was wonderful - your FI is so sweet.

It's not cool that 15 people RSVPed and didn't show up. I would have probably done the same!

I agree with everyone about figuring out true friends throughout this process.  I have been so surprised at the support (and attendance) I've gotten from old friends that I don't often talk to very often anymore.  True friends aren't always the friends we see all the time.

Girls thanks so much for the support!!!! and the TSO was AMAZING!!!! I wish i could have taken pictures, but they were filming so we had to check our camera at the door. but it was still an amazing show!
