Flower Girl Dresses

Has anyone found a good place for inexpensive flower girls dresses?  My little niece in law is 3, and wears about a size 3... and I don't want to put her in white.  my BMs are wearing burgundy dresses.  Any suggestions?

I would try JCPenney, or Macy's.

I went to Bridal Designs in Southlake. I do not recommend it. They are crazy expensive.

We got our flower girl dress at Alfred Angelo.  My flower girl is 3 and also wears a 3.  It's a charcoal (read platinum) dress with a black sash.  They only had a couple that you can choose colors but they worked out well.  David's Bridal also has a couple that you can choose the colors and there was a really cute one there but we ended up with the Alfred Angelo one.

My matron of honor (her daughter is the flower girl) went to a couple of stores at Grapevine Mills and they had some cute dresses but since I was looking for a specific color combonation her choices were limited but you may want to check that out.

    Or online at cutieclothes.com.

HTH!!  We just went shopping for her dress on Friday, so it's all pretty fresh on the brain.

I found my flower girl dresses on Etsy and my aunt and I are going to try and make them.

EDIT: We found the fabric at Hobby Lobby yesterday for 20% off.

Lacy - that is PRECIOUS.  I think I'm going to email it to my mom - she can sew pretty well, but she may shoot me if I ask her to do this "without a pattern" lol.  But it's worth a try :)

There is a store in Grapevine Mills Mall that had some pretty inexpensive flower girl dresses.  They were about $50 give or a take a $10.  I wish I had waited now on my flower girl dress!

Angie: I think we...well my aunt...are going to give it a try either this weekend or next.  I will let you know how it works and if we use a pattern or not.

A friend got her flower girl dresses at Kohl's or another department store.  It was around Easter though so there was a bigger selection of frilly dresses, I'm sure.  I gave a bridesmaid swatch to my FSIL and FMIL and said... "have at it."  I really don't care what she wears as long as it matches.  (Hell, I told FI he could wear shorts and flip flops if he wanted.)

Thrift Shops....you can find a lot of dressy, frilly little girl/toddler dresses in great condition at excellent prices.  I haunt thrift stores periodically just to see what they have.  I was out one day and at 2 different shops for 3 different dresses......for a total of 10 bucks.

My daughter didn't like the red/burgundy ones so much, she liked the white one with the tulle skirt but she didn't want it to be white (I don't get the "mini-bride" thing for flower girl).  Anyway....we looked at some fabric and netting I had left over from some other projects and remade the dress!   Everyone who has seen it thinks It is gorgeous.

So I guess to get back to the point, you can find great deals of all kinds at Thrift Stores!

mygirldress.com was cheap, but we weren't thrilled with the quality. See my vendor reviews. I second Dillards, etc. after a holiday

If you don't find anything at department stores I recommend http://www.pinkmarie.com/?page=category&cid=531

The dresses are about $50 ( a lot cheaper than bridal stores!). The one we got was very nice quality and it shipped very fast and the fit was true to the size chart they gave.
