Groomsmen Gifts

Hi all. My fiance is trying to find some original ideas for groomsmen gifts. He doesn't want flasks, knives, wallet, stuff like that. Its hard to give him my input, so maybe ideas from other folks would help. Thanks!

Re: Groomsmen Gifts

• Watch him carefully with this :) Today I gave my FI the assignment to find groomsmen gifts...He has 2 groomsmen and they budget was 50 dollars per person. I came home to a website with a shopping cart and the total was 469 dollars!!!  I looked and we had added gifts for the fathers, the grandparents and then FRIENDS that arent even in the wedding party! I could not believe it
• what do the guys like? a particular sports team? music group? any type of inside joke that he could build a gift around? Last weekend Spencer got a variety pack of beer from a local brewery (Boulevard) set of pint glasses from Boulevard and a shot glass He is giving a beer stein w the KU alma mater on it and an engraved cigar case w cigars to his guys.  another idea is to just get them gift certs to their fav store, or tickets to something they can go to together after the wedding?
• H and his GM went on a weekend boating/fishing trip a few weeks before the wedding, so he got them each a gift certificate to their favorite 'man' store, called Outdoor World. They used them to buy fishing gear for the trip.
• My DH got all of his men carry-on bags. Like the kind with the shoulder strap. They are nicer and smaller than your typical duffle. I think it was from Lands End or Eddie Bauer or something like that. About $50 each.
• we went with beer mugs but we wanted to make it unique/interesting so we also got them a brew your own beer kit from monsterbrew.com- its the "big & easy red lager". they were only $10!
• The majority of our groomsmen had to fly to our wedding, so we didn't want to give them anything like alcohol in case they didn't check a bag and would have to deal with getting it home. We gave all the groomsmen framed vintage programs from their favorite sports teams (the Red Sox, the Lions, Boston College, etc.)  We kept the programs whole so they could take them out of the frames and look through them, as well.
• We're getting our guys capcatcher bottle openers fromhttp://www.capcatchers.comWe had them personalized, and they came out really well. Perfect for ANY guy that drinks beer.
• We got our groomsmen personalized poker sets from roundtablegifts.comThey came out great (very nice quality) and we were able to get different ones for each groomsman that matched their individual personalities.
