Cleaning Stainless P&P

Hi - I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, however:Did anyone register for stainless steel pots and pans?  I used one of my pans for the first time and the inside nonw is discolored and has a rainbow hue to it.  I followed the cleaning instructions - used a dobie pad, regular dish soap, etc.  but it still has discoloration.  Can anyone tell me how to make it look new again?TIA!

    There is a wonder product called Barkeeper's Friend (you can buy it at Williams-Sonoma, and I am sure lots of other places). It will make them look brand new again!

    I love Barkeeper's friend, it works super well on stainless steel.  You can get at most grocery stores too.

    We have All Clad SS and it looks great with just soap and water. On the occasion of a real mess I use Barkeepers Friend.
