What is the standard time to register? How far in advance should you start to register? When did you start your registry?

    Before any wedding events such as the bridal shower, engagement party, etc. And definately before you send out your invitations.

    I would say 6 months out is about right.

    We registered at 9 months out and a lot of stuff was discontinued.  It was kind of a pain.

    We started to register at 7 months out and have had like 3 things get discontinued...as long as you keep an eye on things, I think 6-9 months out is ok.
