showers over, when do we go buy what we didn't get?

Should we just wait until after the wedding? There were a couple of things I actually needed sooner rather than later...what to do?

If you need something, go ahead and buy it.  I wouldn't depend on a registry for something I needed right away, anyway. 

Otherwise I would wait until after the wedding - we recieved a few items from our registry as wedding gifts, and also a number of GCs for the stores where we registered, so we were able to buy a lot of remaining items using those.

Wait until after the wedding, unless there's something you need.  Your guests may give actual gifts for the wedding.  Also, I could be wrong but I don't think completion discounts kick in until after the wedding.

I purchased things off my registry that I needed before my wedding.  I just made sure that they were shown as "purchased" on the registry.

I was wondering about that...my fiance wants to wait until after the wedding, so I'm just going to hold tight and see what else we get.

Maybe it depends where your registry is... our completion discount is valid from the day we registered until one year after the wedding date.

if its something you need or something that may be discontinued then go ahead and buy it.

if you need it buy it. i always bring gifts to the wedding, even if i got something for the shower.
